Roman Trip

Date: 28th Jun 2016 @ 10:15am

First we got on the coach and we arrived at the Grosvenor museum. Then we went into the theatre room and put all our stuff away.

After we went up a lot of stairs, we met a lady called Virginia (which is a Roman name). We sat down and she told us a lot of facts about Romans. She said that in the Roman time chester used to be called Deva. Nala got dressed up as a Roman Soldier and she was called Maximus Nalaeus St George. Virginia showed us a wall and at the bottom of it were all pieces from the Roman times. We did all different activities including crunching spices, pretend cooking which the fish sauce was very oil and making a hot room.

We then had lunch.

A Roman Soldier called Marcus shouted at us. We dressed up as Roman Soldiers and we marched to the amphitheatre. He taught us to defend and fight. We learnt how to do the tortoise formation.

We went then to the museum and were given a task to find all different things from the Roman time. There was a box called bones, a jewellery box and a model of a Roman time.

At school, we got goody bags. In them was a rubber, Roman Soldier, a Roman coin, a pencil and a drawing book.

We really enjoyed it.
