Welcome back to a new school year!

I am looking forward to working with Year 5 this year.

PE will be on a Tuesday morning this half term. Please wear PE to school on this day.

Subjects for this half-term:

English: Pathways scheme.  Book:  The Queen of the Falls

Maths: Place value, followed by addition and subtraction

Science: Living Things and their Habitat

History: Victorians

Art: Victorian themes

PE: Team Games

PSHE:  CoramScarf scheme of work

ICT:  Teach Computing programming

Music: Charanga – Dancing in the Street

Homework:

We are using Atom Prime as a school for our homework this year. Please make sure you have activated your child's account and that they are completing their homework each week.

We are also using TTRockstars in all of KS2. Please encourage your child to use this as much as possible!

It is very important that the children continue to read regularly at home, as this builds up their fluency and will continue to build on their comprehension skills.
