Applying for a Reception Place

Highfields Academy and Nursery follows the Cheshire East Council admissions process for Reception admissions.

If your child is due to start school in September 2027, applications should be made directly through Cheshire East Council using the link below:

The application window opens in September and closes on 15th January 2027. Parents will be notified of their school place allocation by Cheshire East Council in April 2027.

In-Year Applications

If you would like to apply for a school place for a child who is currently in Reception to Year 6, you will need to complete an In-Year Application through Cheshire East Council.

We encourage parents to contact the school before submitting an application so that we can discuss availability and answer any questions you may have.

Where there are more applications than places available, admissions will be allocated in accordance with the school's published admissions arrangements.
