Year 4 2026 - 2027
Mrs Robinson
Welcome to Year 4!
We are delighted to welcome you to Year 4 and cannot wait to begin another exciting year of learning together. From exploring fascinating topics across the curriculum to developing independence and confidence, there will be many opportunities for children to challenge themselves and achieve their very best.
Throughout the year, children will also enjoy a wide range of enrichment experiences, helping them to make meaningful connections with our local community and the wider world while creating lasting memories.
Key Class Information:
Forest School: Tuesday Morning
Swimming: Tuesday Afternoon
Please refer to the half-termly overview for detailed information about the clothing and equipment required for Forest School and swimming sessions (separate School Spider message).
Reading and Home Learning
Reading remains one of the most important ways you can support your child at home. We encourage children to read regularly, discuss their books with family members and continue developing their fluency, understanding and enjoyment of reading.
As part of the Year 4 multiplication check preparation, we encourage children to practise their times tables regularly using Times Tables Rock Stars. Regular practice will help children develop speed, accuracy and confidence with multiplication facts.
