Welcome to Year 4!
Attached is an overview of learning for this half term in Year 4.
Please note, PE lessons will be on a Monday and Thursday this half term. For our PE lessons, the children will need to wear their PE kits (red hoodie/jumper, red T-shirt, black leggings or tracksuit bottoms). Please could you ensure that all uniform is labelled. For health and safety reasons, earrings must be removed during PE lessons.
Reading regularly at home remains incredibly important - it helps children to develop fluency, prosody and strengthens their comprehension skills.
Homework is assigned on Atom Prime every Friday and is due in the following Wednesday. Please make sure that your child’s account is activated and that they are completing their weekly assignments. You can access Atom Prime here.
We’re also continuing to use Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRockstars) to support maths fluency. Regular practice at home is encouraged to ensure that children further develop their recall of key multiplication and division facts. Please help your child practice their times tables daily in preparation for the multiplication check that takes place in June.
This year, Year 4 have signed up for the Love Music Trust Singfest - This is me! - and we are now busy learning two medlies ready to perform at a concert in June.
