Welcome to Year 6!
I am delighted to welcome you to Year 6 and can't wait to begin an exciting year of learning together! From discovering the power of poetry to enjoying our outdoor surroundings in Forest School, there will be plenty of opportunities for children to develop their love for learning.
Year 6 is such an important year as their last one at primary school and as well as lots of exciting learning in the classroom, we will also enjoy a wide range of enrichment experiences throughout the year, helping us to make meaningful connections with both the community/locality and the wider world.

Forest School: Wednesday
Drumming: Friday

Reading and Home Learning
Reading remains one of the most important ways you can support your child at home. We encourage children to read regularly, share books with family members and celebrate their growing confidence as readers. Children can also practise key maths facts through NumBots and Times Table Rock Stars to help develop fluency and confidence.
I know that many of you will have questions about how you can support your child with their Sats and I have attached a document below with some links to websites and activities which you may find helpful as a start point.
